| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 30, 2007 Bottle. Hazy dark brown/black with a small off white head. Smells of roastiness, a little chocolate, coffee, overall very strongly stoutish aromas. Flavor strongly roasted, hints of coffee, a sharp hoppiness (though not as strong as other Rogue offerings), and the distinct finish of the Rogue Pacman yeast. Light on the palate. Overall, enjoyable sessionable porter. BREWMUSKCLES (1087), New Jersey, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 27, 2007 12/27/2007: Rogue Mocha Porter is dark porter brown with a large, dense, and lasting tan head. The aroma is mocha (leaning toward the milk chocolate side) with a hint of roasted malt in the background. The flavor leans toward roasted malt with a coffee-flavored finish with a touch of dark bitter chocolate. It has a balanced flavor overall and is quite robust. The body of this beer is medium and quite smooth. It goes down fast leaving me to wish there was a bit more depth in the flavor in order to give me a reason to slow down and enjoy it more!

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 25, 2007 12 Oz Bottle. Aroma was a light salt of old dark chocolate, graham cracker crust and stale pipe tobacco. Reserved and charred. Poured a middle black with a wispy waft of tan head above. Flavor was a wildly predictable roast malt, with lightly tangy coffee acidity, bland chocolatesque character and schmalz of brown malt. Middle of the road. Rather light and dry, but dominated by that ugly mineral-laden, utility-man, non-descript Pacman yeast. What a boring way to make beer. No matter how intricate the malt build gets, it just gets fazed out by a totally unclean yeast. It’s not terrible, but this beer is pretty mediocre, finishing of saltines and sea oats. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 24, 2007 Bottle. Pours black with large brown head. Aroma of coffee (not really strong) and roasted malt. Flavor profile was shorter and more simple than I expected. Coffee and roasted malts. Mouth feel is a little bit thin, but it is refreshing. Goes down quickly, good, but unremarkable. drseamus (103), Troy, New York, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 24, 2007 A: I am very pleased to see that this beer isn’t jet black. A lot of porters are tending toward jet black bodies but this one is does not fall in that group. It is dark dark mahogany with a frothy mocha colored head. It has ruby notes at the edges when held to the light.
S: The aroma has a bunch of dark malt with a good amount of roast. I don’t get much coffee from the aroma which seems strange for a mocha porter.
T: There is a good amount of roasted malt in this beer. There is a decent coffee flavor that lasts well into the aftertaste but it’s mostly a bitter flavor.
M: This is a nice creamy medium-heavy body but it ends rather thinly.
D: Not a bad porter at all. It’s on the robust end of the spectrum and I don’t get much chocolate in the flavor, but it’s still tasty. Egon (400), Gothenburg, Sweden

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 22, 2007 Pors a deep brown color. Looks like a cola in the glass. No head at all. Almost no aroma. Taste is sort of like a dry wine. Coffee notes in the finsh. Just OK in my opinion.
