| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Aug 23, 2009 Beer poured into a pint glass a beautiful deep, dark black with a two finger light brown head. The head starts out more bubbly but settles into a thicker, creamier texture that, while it doesn’t stay around for the duration of the drink., does leave a nice thick lace.
Smell is hints of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt. A tiny biting scent at the end let’s you know this is a beer and not an iced coffee.
Taste and mouthfool are slightly above average. For being called a mocha porter, nothing jumped out at me that would distinguish this from any above average porter. If there is a "mocha" flavor, it is very very light. That said, it is tasty and carbonation is present but pretty much spot on. Body is thin.
This is highly drinkable and though I probably wouldn’t buy it again, I recommend it to porter fans.

Dark dark brown body with a medium creamy tan head and some lacing. Smoky roasted coffee grounds flavour. Full body is slightly watery. Smells better than it tastes.

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 16, 2009 Bottle that I picked up at Bellingers Jet Garage, Grove near Wantage, Oxon and consumed in a field at Cropredy Festival 13-08-09 Pours brown with a heavy light beige foamy head. Aroma is coffee, a strange touch of persil washing-up-liquid heaven knows where that came from, there is also a blunt maltiness. Taste is very coffee, smooth but really lingers, coffee dregs, nice stuff. A7 A4 F7 P4 Ov14 3.6 Plamadude30k (122), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 16, 2009 Pours brownish black with a nice amount of light tan head. Aroma is chocolate and espresso, with hints of an earthy/peaty character. This just becomes more evident in the flavor, and is joined by hints of dark fruits, a smoky note, and a mouthfeel and lingering taste which is reminiscent of a dry stout. drowland (1407), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 12, 2009 Fluffy tan head, lots of little dimples in the foam. Color is chocolate brown. Opaque with light at the edges. The head flattens out but stays creamy.
Dual aromas of semi-sweet chocolate, as well as bitter burnt coffee beans. Great balance with dark grapes and raisins. A real smokyness. Excellent.
Hints of tobacco and licorice. Leathery, chalky flavor. Smooth mild chocolate taste. Coffee at the back end. Like a mocha coffee with alcohol. Nicely done.
The feel is creamy, chewy and chalky. For comparison’s sake, has a consistency similar to a Guinness. It’s a smoky, bittersweet beer. Chalky, substantial and very nice. TheJester (710), Peterborough, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 11, 2009 355 mL bottle. Coca-cola colour with a nice beige head. Smells like a porter with some black coffee and something metallic tacked on the end. Flavour begins thin and metallic, but finishes quite full, with coffee and roast, and a little chocolate milk. xs2500 (90), Mississippi, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 10, 2009 Nice strong aroma when poured. Creamy head that hangs around for a bit. Flavor is dry, but that’s to be expected from Rouge I guess. Hints of chocolate and toasted malts. For the pitiful section of porters in MS this is probably one of the best here
