Strong roasted malt aroma, a hint of chocolate. The palate is a bit minerally, the finish is long, with the chocolate building more and more. Got better as it warmed. The nose is full of roasted malt and creamy chocolate and coffee. The flavor is extremely bitter and full of roasted malt. I like how well it is carbonated and how the roastiness stays on your palate for a while. BeerGestapo (351), Windsor, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 3, 2008 Brewed in the USA !! Courtsey of AFI96 thanks Waylo. Pours a dark brown / ruby color with a small lasting tan head. Aroma of dark fruit, chocolate, and malts. The taste is of mild chocolate, coffee, a hint of molasses and some bitter hops. The mouthfeel is kind of watery for a porter but still very pleasant.
