Nice balanced aroma and deep coloration. The flavor and palate were a little disappointing as compared to other porters, but still very enjoyable.

Draft at Dewey’s in Clifton. Pours a very dark brown color with a small tan head. The aroma wasn’t particularly strong, maybe this was a bit too cold, but what was there was nice: mocha, chocolate, nuts, roasted malts, and vanilla. The flavor was the same, but stronger and with notes of hops and cream. Could have been smoother, as the carbonation had quite a bite. Light-medium bodied. Roasty finish. Good porter.

Drank it at home with my wife paired with delicious sea salt, chile dark chocolate. Pours dark brown with a light head. Light bodied, silky, well balanced with hops, chocolate taste.

A good porter with a nice balance of coffee and chocolate flavors. Easy to drink but quite filling

Pours a dark brown with a light brown head. Smells of caramilized malt, tobacoo and dark chocolate. Chocolate notes up front but has a thin watery feel with a missing backbone... seems liek something is missing.

Purchased from Woodman’s in Madison, WI, enjoyed pouring bottle into a plastic cup on Thanksgiving day. Aroma is of light chocolate and alcohol, very good cold weather beer. I’m tasting roasted chocolate notes, great flavor, good comfort beer.

Pours a nice deep brown color with a thin tan head . Aroma is chocolate, coffee, roasty. Flavor is pretty similar, with lots of coffee and chocolate notes. Medium body, pretty decent.

Bottle. A strong malty aroma, coffee and chocolate, also some brown sugar. The head is medium large, creamy and beige with a long duration. The body is black. The taste is quite bitter, coffee and malt. The finish is light metallic. The body is medium strong, creamy with a normal carbonation.

Super dark brown. Basically black. Two-fingers of chocolate tan colored foamy head. Good retention and quite good lacing. Sweet barley malts. Chocolate milk. Butterscotch. Vanilla toffee. Toasted nuts. General earthiness. Light coffee notes. Smells very dessert like. Burnt milk chocolate covered caramels. Roasted coffee beans. Touch of vanilla. Sweet maltiness takes the backseat. Mild earthy hops. Not as good as the nose would have me believe, but still tasty. Nice creamy and medium bodied. Carbonation is a touch too sharp, but easy enough to get around. A touch thin, but still enjoyable. Great session beer. Less than 6%ABV and there is enough going on in this bottle to keep you interested, yet not enough to overwhelm you. Smooth and easy drinking.
