One of the finest pilsner I have ever had, delicious with sushi or tuna tartar. Fantastic that you can have a delicous crafted beer at a top-notch restaurant (Morimoto 7th and Chestnut, Philly). Cheers to Rogue for creating another classic beer.

When I tried it on tap at the Seattle Intl. Beerfest, I found this to be exceptional and wish I could have pint after pint. I hate to say it but I was disappointed with this promising attempt at the Imperial Pilsner when I bought the gorgeous ceramic flip-top bottle. I do believe there is potential here, because pilsners can be underappreciated for their clean simplicity. Either Rogue can do better or this one should be aged to mellow out. Certainly it’s floral and has a sturdy build but the beer seemed all hopped up--and not in the right ways. However, I aprpeciated the enthusiastic foamy head and rich golden color. The aroma and aftertaste both burst with hops. Would love to try it at the brewery someday to see what the tap version is like away from the brewfest.

Pours nicely with a thick head. Sweet, flowery smell, but not pungent. Nice initial taste with a burst of bitterness, much like an old, european pilsner (Pilsner Urquell). Overall, not quite worth the price for me.

pours a cloudy yellow-orange with a 4 finger head, much carbonation. smell is very floral, sweet, and mandarin orange. taste is more like an IPA than a pilsner, sweet tart, citrus (lemon & orange), bitter-sweet, hops, yummmm. i was not expecting this taste at all, very smooth, nicely bitter, exceptional brew, way to go iron chef.

This had an awful taste to it. The bottle was amazing looking but the beer had a horrible taste.

Cool ceramic bottle. Cloudy yellow with a fizzy white head. Floral sweet malty aroma. Perfume hops taste in the back of the throat strong weet maltiness and a good bready taste to the finish. Alcohol well hidden.

White ceramic bottle (pricey). Pours a clear gold (slightly hazy) with white fluffy head. Pretty nice aroma of sweet malt, grain, grass, earthiness, and hops. Flavors of sweet grainy malt, bitter hops, floral, a bit of fruit, and finishes with alcohol. I like it, but in a way I don’t. Interesting brew.

Draft at Waldo Pizza in KCMO. Pour is golden with some haziness which cleared. The aroma was bright hop, earthiness and honey sweetness. The taste is big, sweet honey. I was surprised by how big this flavor was, and I found it a bit cloying. As my senses settled in, this beer was more or less enjoyable, though the sweetness did numb my palate. The finish has a bit of alcohol, though nothing overpowering.
