All I know about this ale is that I enjoyed every succulent sip, and that the alcohol is so well dressed into this recipe it really hits you hard after indulging in a 220z ceramic! Sweet, light toast, some crisp hops near the finish. Some light fruit, peach and grapefruit. Alcohol is a little harsh, could be more balanced. aspidites (1274), manteca, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Apr 5, 2005 Overly sweet and malty beer. Nose is primarily of malt and soft fruit. Bitterness comes in softly at mid palate. Vanilla cookies and pears near the end with a grassy hop presence. Sweet and lingering malt finish. Not a pilsner. goldtwins (4080), Nesconset, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 2, 2005 Poured a clear amber color with a quickly disapearing medium sized off white head. Aroma fruity, of peaches and pineapples with some honey all blended together. Malty up front that turns to a moderate bitterness middle and finish. Warming. Medium bodied but soft and flat. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 28, 2005 Dark golden with lingering white head. Rather cloudy, which I didn’t expect for a pilsner. Fruity floral aroma reminisent of a Belgian ale. Medium body, rather smooth mouthfeel for being so pronounced in it’s hop characterisitcs. Choice of hops results in a vegetable spiciness rather than a resiny bitterness, which when meshing with the high amount of malt probably accounts for the surprising drinkability of what is not a classic, delicate pilsner in character. Mouthfeel starts to linger in the finish but drys up quickly. swirl (267), collingswood, New Jersey, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 27, 2005 This beer comes to the glass a beautiful clear golden with a full head that leaves a nice looking lace. The aroma comes across with floral traces of rose and hints of honey. The taste is sweet with a tart bite. Another good beer from Morimoto for the Rogue brewery. sethdude (601), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Mar 25, 2005 Pours a hazy gold, great head and lacing. Aroma is sweet and hoppy, grapefruit and honey. Flavor is nearly balanced, lots of malts and hops, though slightly more on the hoppy side. Somewhere between an IPA and a bock, flavor wise. Not much of a pilsner, but a good beer.
