The taste is sweet with a thicker body than a regular pilsner & hidden alcohol but is way too expensive & not worth the price tag except you get a nice bottle.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 24, 2009 Creamy, fluffy off-white head. Hazy orange color. Nose is hoppy, orange/citrus and pine. Big hop presence right up front but not over the top. Well balanced and clean. Not overly bitter with fresh clean taste. Tastes like a nice draft beer,

Sweet and bready with hints of alcohol. Golden orange pour with a thin head. Bright and bitter up front followed by lots of bready malt sweetness, light grass, and almost big peppery/spicy bitterness that cleans out the finish. Some noticeable alcohol warmth is there too. Lingering clean peppery hops. DeadGirl (243), West Palm Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 25, 2009 Pours a clear/bit hazy light yellow-gold from the 750ml swing-top ceramic bottle: The aroma is sweet for a pils and the taste is bold. Dry malts, and bitter hops dominate while some florals balance the overall feel. Drinkability: Strong and generous flavors- I definitely didn’t expect to like it this much. Rebuy: Probably not only because it’s wicked expensive, but would like to enjoy it again. #160 on 25102009, DG. ownch411 (15), USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 21, 2009 750ml Bottle. Golden in color with a medium head and carbonation. Slight hop aroma but tremendous hops in flavor. Thought I was drinking India Pale Ale at first. Only a slight note of pilsner but great full hop flavor none the less that gives way to a slight bitter finish. A good, tasty brew that I would be happy to have more of. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 19, 2009 Bottle 750ml swing-top. Poured hazy golden orange with an averaged sized, sticky foamy, off-white head which was most lasting. A fruity hop aroma with floral notes; sweet biscuity malts, caramel, overripe kiwifruit, canned pineapple and peaches. Flavor was a good spicy hop bitterness with sweet biscuity malts, caramel, hop resins, white pepper, kiwifruit, passionfruit, overripe nectarines and a dry grassy finish. Medium bodied with medium carbonation, a dry hoppy mouthfeel, slick texture and a long length finish. Extremely well balanced, very moreish – almost seasonable. 09maso3 (69), vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

You get that crispness of a lighter beer with the alcoholic kick of a heavier beer. The Morimoto is a fine example of this preference. Pours a light yellow with a rich white head. Nose is dry hops and mild malt. Flavor is slightly bitter and hoppy. Body is decently carbonated. Overall a great experience.
