El_Borracho (472), Chicago, Illinois, USA Jan 8, 2007 On tap at the Map Room. Pours an opaque red with an off-white head. Hops are evident in aroma and taste along with a slightly caramel malt background. There was a certain musty quality that was a bit distracting.

V - dark reddish amber
A - light and mild aroma
T - nice hoppy thrust with the roasted malts of a typical amber ale
P - fantastic balance marchcow (513), Coralville, Iowa, USA Oct 3, 2008 Dry hopped Red Ale. Aroma is rich roasted malt, dried fruits, caramel. Reddish brown color with tan foamy head. Flavors are roasted malt balanced with a rich hopped bitterness. Decent amount of sweetness. Rasins and oatmeal. Slight orangepeel on the duration. Palate is light but solid and not weak. Pretty good overall. lightning9191 (73), Christiansburg, Virginia, USA Sep 30, 2008 Pours a red-copper color with thin head. The aroma is malty with some definite hoppiness. Not as much hoppiness in the aroma as I expected. The flavor is good. It is malty with a unique hop flavor. I don’t find this hop flavor in a lot of beers. The dry hopping is apparent. The body is a touch on the light side for me and the carbonation is good. This is a good hoppy beer and is different then a lot of the hoppy beers out there. the_chandler (201), West Virginia, USA Sep 21, 2008 Dark, red-amber. Aroma is sweet and malty. A little bit fruity....hints of grape, plum....maybe a little cherry and pear. Flavor is very hoppy. Decently fruity. Still a little grape and pear flavor. Mostly hoppy though. Good bitterness. I approve. DrDavid (325), Johnson, Vermont, USA Sep 21, 2008 (Bottle). Citrus hopsy aroma. Red color, large beige head. Flavor a wonderfully balanced blend of semi-sweet lemony citrus and semi-bitter hops, along with a malt backbone. Finish is a lingering mild bitterness. Refreshing.
