BeerBelcher (714), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Dec 5, 2007 This beer poured nicely and had a very pleasant citrus-hop aroma, but I felt a bit let-down by its flavor, which while good, was not citrus-y and a bit watery.
This beer poured a clear coppery-color which was brilliant and sparkling with nice sticky lacing. Aroma was of citrus hoppiness with a nice malt backing. Compared to appearance and aroma (both I thought were quite nice), taste was a bit of a disappointment, but still OK. It had a nice clean bitterness with a bit of wateryness and a minimal amount of discernable citrusness. Mouthfeel was a bit more watery than I would’ve preferred.
Still, a strong beer and definitely recommended.
TEJA (80), Stockholm, Sweden Aug 29, 2008 Dark amber with a big head. Nice spicy hop aroma. Well balanced body and bitterness combined with a good hop taste. nqualls (185), Tennessee, USA Aug 26, 2008 Poured a dark amber with a huge brown head. Aroma of malt and piney hops. Flavor is the same, with some warming alcohol. Bitter finish. jkwalking05 (171), Arlington, Texas, USA Jul 26, 2008 Dark brown with a large head that quickly disappears. Hop aromas predominate slight caramel aroma. Copper in color with a decent head. Flavors of hops and spruce. esjaygee (721), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Jul 26, 2008 Clear copper with a rocky brown lacy head. Aroma of caramel, pine, citrus and floral hops. Taste of caramel, citrus hops and alcohol. Overly bitter finish that seems to lack the benefits. Swalden_28 (557), McKinney, Texas, USA Jun 26, 2008 Bottle, Kegs & Barrels in McKinney, TX.
Pours a nice clear amber with off-white head, good retention. Aroma of grapefruit and caramel malt....Flavor of obvious hoppy grapefruit with bitter with slight sweet malt.....Palate is med. carbonation and med-full body....Overall, this is an IPA with amber color......it’s pretty good.
