DocLock (4102), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA May 12, 2008 Bottle from State Line. Pours hazy deep golden with 1-finger eggshell head and great lacing. Nose is bready pale malt, Belgian style hops, florals, and citrus. The flavor is bready at first, pale malty, citric, hoppy, with floral notes and some spicy yeasty notes. Fairly hefty palate with decent complexity. I’d buy this again in a heartbeat, even though it took me 5 years to realize I’d never rated it, thanks in large part to Rogue’s aliasing.
CaptBier (252), Birmingham, Alabama, USA Aug 31, 2008 Bottle. Nice floral aroma and pours a hazy orange. The flavor is pretty boring and harsh. Its light, and refreshing, but its just boring. nqualls (203), Tennessee, USA Aug 26, 2008 22 oz bomber. Poured a clear gold color with a huge white head. Citrus fruits and malt dominate the aroma. Flavor is caramel and citrus. Decent beer, but not worth the price. dpjuart (555), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 19, 2008 22 oz. bomber from the Deep Creek Stash, shared with Naka. Pours iridescent with orange/golden hues with a pillowy white head, one finger. Nose is fruity, apricot and grapefruit, sweet caramel and mild bread. Taste is buttered popcorn with sweet toffee notes and moderate earthy bitter. Little hop flavor, mild lemon. Very dry and tart. Good lacing, good body. Not a bad pale, but tastes a bit "dirty". Naka (415), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 18, 2008 Courtesy of Juart. Pours a clear golden orange color with a lot of effervescence. A huge fluffy white head with some decent lacing. The aroma is a spicy sweet floral and grassy hop nose. Has a nice sweetness to it with a honey flavor. Kind of an old bottle, but still tons of carb. A dry bitter finish and very crisp. Has a slight metallic rusty flavor, but probably due to the age. Medium light body. Pretty refreshing. blutt59 (682), Dallas, Texas, USA Jun 8, 2008 bottle, best packaging of their beers, tangerine cloudy color with head that hangs on well, mild grapefruit and lemon flavors that are well developed and finish well with a mild hoppy bitterness to finish
