Poured a nice black color with a tan colored head leaving pretty good lacing. Smell was roasty, chocolate-y, and hoppy as well. Taste was full of chocolate upfront, followed by a roasty and hoppy finish. Mouthfeel was a little less than full bodied, with medium carbonation. Certainly a good beer worth a visit once in a while, I just don’t seem to pick it up that often. Pretty much a must try, and should be widely available enough, that this is no problem.

A dark brown pour, quick building tan head. Smells like a fine iced coffee. The coffee notes trump the chocolate and chicory. Some maltiness more hop character. Very good, probably my 2nd favorite Rogue after the chocolate stout.

Pours a very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is roasty with chocolate and coffee notes. Smooth chocolate malt taste with a hoppy finish. The balance is absolutely perfect. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy, body is a tad thin and there is a lot of carb. Overall, awesome stout.

Very nice stout. Nice dark, dark brown to black pour with a thick, tan head. Very roasty smell, with a hint of some coffee. Very smooth and malty taste, with hint of chocolate, and a semi-hop filled finish. Honestly though, I’d just prefer a Guinness for it’s price point.

I have a new favorite stout. Dark off white head, small. Pours a pure black with just a hint of brown. A review won’t do the mix of flavors justice. Starts with a strong coffee with a smokey malt. Hints of chocolate and earth mix mid way through. The finish is smooth and rather short. Thinner than some stoudts, but that doesn’t take anything away from this quintessential stoudt.

Pours a nice black color with a thin tan head. aroma is some coffee, hops and hint of sweet chocolate. Flavor melds the aromas together into one great bitter taste. This is probably the best plain stout i’ve had.

pours very dark with a light brown head. the head lasts for a while. scent is of hops with some roast as well. taste is of hops, roast, and chocolate. Like I have said before, I would probably purchase this again if Rogue beers were not so over priced.

Pours black with thick long lasting tan head. Sweet malt, chocolate and coffee in the nose, all of the same in taste with a wonderful bittering hop finish. Amazing stout!
