Bomber poured an opaque black with a lasting brown head. Aromas of bitter chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of milk chocolate, vanilla, light roastiness and light coffee with a smooth chocolatey finish.

Tap @ Blind Tiger. Pours jet-black with a medium-sized tan-to-brown head. Aroma is roasted malt and chocolate. Taste is the same, with a mile chocolate and coffee finish at the end. The flavors are very strong, but I found the finish a tad watery, which didn’t do justice to the enticing beginning of the beer. It’s still a solid beer, but it could be phenomenal with a stronger palate.

Pours black with tan head. Aromas of burnt malts and a hint of chocolate. Slightly sweet with flavors similar to aromas, burnt malts and a mild chocolate finish. Full body with inimal carbonation. A pretty good stout.

Black with tan head and white tips. Strong coffee with a little sour added in. Kind of watery. Slight malt aftertaste. Pretty drinkable but not my favorite, or really close.

A nice enough beer but one that does not seem to match up well with my tastes. A little too much coffee for me and i find the malts a little overly roasted.

Aroma: Smells predominantly of sweet roasted and burnt malts, like baking chocolate and a bit of coffee. There’s also a subdued but sharp, kind of fruity and tart hop characer as well. Appearance: A rich coffee black. Completely opaque, except along the extreme edges, which shine with a bright cherry-red glow. The head is creamy, dense, and raspberry latte-colored with thick lacing all the way down. Flavor: Tastes like an imperial stout! No-holds-barred burnt dark chocolate and coffee grounds are the main flavors, plus a flowery bitterness provided by the cascade hops. There’s also a hint of dark rum, which complicates the flavor beautifully. I think this would go well with any dessert en flambé: bananas foster, cherries jubilee... créme brulée would be good, too. Nice dry finish. Palate: Sticky, medium-bodied with creamy bubbles. It is a bit watery-feeling and kind of sloshes around your mouth, but it’s good overall. Overall: This beer is slightly syrupy and kind of dense, but also quite delicious! Highly drinkable. I would definitely recommend this beer, and it was pretty cheap, too.

Bomber. Dark Brown/Black, very little light passes through. Nice mix of hops and roasted malts, with a touch of coffee and chocolate. Very good.

On tap. Pours an opaque black with dark mahogany hints around the edges. Served with a dense one-finger tan head that showed very good retention and lacing. This one looked quite nice. Smell is dominated by sweet roasted chocolate malts with strong coffee aromas. There was also a noticeable hop aroma in the background. I was actually pleasantly surprised by the strong bitter hop presence up front in this one which quickly gave way to the big malty chocolate and coffee taste. Hint of dark fruits gave way to the slightly bitter hop finish. Mouthfeel is really nice on this - very creamy for such a medium bodied stout and a small amount of carbonation. This was an excellent stout for me and it surpassed my expectations honestly. I don’t know if I could drink more than one in an evening, but that one was damn good.
