Jan 28, 2008 Draught at the Brixx in Chapel Hill. Dark, with ruby edges, medium tan head, with lacing. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Flavor is similar, little cream, very roasty, light palate, slight roasty bitterness. Delightful beer.

Jan 24, 2008 From bottle : Pours a very dark brown/black, with a thin light brown head, the dissapates fairly quick, to a foamy ring. Nose is roasted and malty, some hops and a little alcohol. Taste is really good. Roasted malts, and some alcohol on the way down with a very coffee flavored aftertaste. Medium to thick in body, but has very good drinkability for a stout. Palate is creamy, very nice stout.

Jan 24, 2008 Poures like the color of oil with a dark frothy head that was apparent till the last sip... Chocolate and coffee with a little nip at the end, had a great chocolaty aftertaste.

Jan 23, 2008 bottle: pours black witha thick creamy esspresso foam brown head. aroma is a bitter cocoa powder, sweet milk chcolateand not much else. flavour is a milky chocolate and a bitter cocoa esspresso. a dry powdery finish with a small amount of bitter aftertaste. very creamy palate.

Jan 19, 2008 Bottle/Tap. Very dark brownish black brew with a tan head. Aroma is sweet with notes of coffee and chocolate. Flavor is quite sweet with nice coffee undertones. Nice roasted dry finish.

Jan 19, 2008 (Tap) Pours a black color with a good amount of brown head. Aroma of roasted malts and some chocolate. Taste includes bitter chocolate, hazelnut, and some hops. Good palate, and slightly below average mouthfeel.

Jan 16, 2008 Dark black with super dark head. taste chocolaty, a little bitter and a little sour. I don’t know if this was bad but it was much more sour than I would expect... I guess I will have to try it again. the palate was nothing special, much thiner than I thought it would be. Overall it was refreshing.

Jan 16, 2008 this beer is like the chocolate stout, but it is dark chocolate instead of sweet chocolate. nice bitterness with some nuts in the mix. I love this beer
