22 oz bottle - Poured ink black with a brown head with very little lacing. Smelled like roasted nuts and sweet chocolate. Tasted like chocolate with a medium mouthfeel and a bitter taste on the palate. Not my favorite stout but is alright. Rogue has done better.

Nice aroma, has a bit of oatmeal and chocolate. Appearance is a deep black with a dark tan head. Has a nice chocolate flavor that ends well. Overall, very good. Would like a bit more body, but one of the better stouts.

22 ounce bottle in pint glass. Black with tall brown head and lace. Aroma of roasted dark chocolate and earth and something slightly acidic, hops, I guess. Very earthy, oaty flavor, smooth and roasted with a moderate lingering bitterness. Hard to describe, but awesome.

Tap. The malt’s coffee and chocolate notes dominated the aroma in this beer. Hops smelled lightly of herbs, yeast smelled of musty, wet leaves, and there is a licorice note in the background. Head is creamy, brown which mostly diminished but left excellent lacing. Color is pitch black (for lack of good lighting). Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic then the long finish was lighty acidic and heavily bitter. Palate was creamy and medium/full with a soft carbonation. It finished moderately astringent and very dry. A good palate cleanser and after dinner espresso all in one.

Pours jet black with a creamy, pitted, tan head. Dark roasted malt, molasses and dark chocolate on the nose. Medium to full-bodied, slick and creamy with a lightly dry and bitter finish. The flavor is dark roasted malt, chocolate and coffee with a dry, roasted finish. The hops used in this beer are very well integrated as its 69 IBUs are well hidden behind the malt front. A nice stout.

On draught at the Issaquah brewhouse. Aroma is roast malt forward, slightly sour, bready, with light dried fruit and no sweetness. Appearance is dark brown with a well retained tan head. Flavor is plain, bready with low sweetness and roast. Mouthfeel is medium/high bodied, creamy, with almost no carb feel. Overall, not easy drinking, kind of boring, with no reason to have another or even to completely finish what you have.

50 cl bottle, Fargo. Deep black with a light brown head. Heavy roasted malt aroma, strong concentrated flavor, nice sharp very long finish. Very nice.

Pours a onyx black with lingering microfoamy tan head giving off chocolate malt balls aroma and oatsy smokiness. Rich on the palate, thick and smooth, dark malts balanced with slightly citrusy Cascade hops, solid bitterness unexpected from a regular stout. Not too sweet, not too strong. Wonder what the Bard would think.
