smith4498 (370), Miami, Florida, USA May 10, 2008 Pours black with tan head. Aromas of burnt malts and a hint of chocolate. Slightly sweet with flavors similar to aromas, burnt malts and a mild chocolate finish. Full body with inimal carbonation. A pretty good stout.
TheGrandMaster (1486), Auckland, New Zealand Oct 5, 2008 Bottle (in NZ) courtesy of yalnikim, pours black with a foamy brown head. A floral hop aroma with a hint of molasses in the malt. The roasted malt palate is a bit grainy, with some coffee flavour. The finish is, dare I say it, a little thin and metallic. Still good, but I don’t quite see it as high as the ratings here indicate. carruthm (431), Seattle, Washington, USA Oct 4, 2008 on tap at hopvine
