Smelled very refreshing and tasted the same. Could definitely make out the orange and honey and didn’t find it to be too sweet which is what I was expecting. Went down very quickly, this is a very good summer (somer?) beer. badlizard (2385), Berkeley, California, USA

Poured a hazy gold with a bubbly white head that reduced to a small ring and left some spotty lacing. The aroma was slightly floral and yeast. The flavor was very light with a touch of sweetness, a little tartness, and a touch of bitter orange. Drinkable, but somewhat washed out. Not Rogue-ish enough for me. nick76 (2684), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jul 15, 2009 The aroma is not what I expected it is bordering on being strange. It does have citrus, spices, honey and wheat but it also has a bit of corn and paper. The appearance is cloudy gold with a small head. The flavor is like the aroma with an light astringent finish. The palate is smooth. Overall I like this beer but it’s not great. Palidor19 (1792), Brandon, Florida, USA

A bit confusing in flavor for a fruit beer - I mostly tasted malt and hops, and the palate was not as smooth as I expected it to be. While there were lemony notes, I wasn’t able to discern orange, even though that was my tasting goal. I’m glad to find a Rogue beer with fruit; still awaiting the one that will be my favorite. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Jul 9, 2009 I was very happy to find this - the timing is perfect. Brew has a very light nose, one can only make out a dust of spice, and - lo and behold some orange - upon pour. The brew is a sparkling clear straw. The mostly lasting frothy white head has very light lace. I’m not ashamed to admit that at first I thought this tasted like a Kolsh. After a few more sips though, this reminded me of an Orval, but a little less subtly brilliant. The long lasting finish is both spicy and bitter. The brew has heavy acidity and good balance. The light body is surprisingly soft and dry. Perfect for July. High five - great sucess.
