| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 26, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours a cloudy golden orange body thats pretty highly carbonated. Finger-width, white, loud and fizzy head that dissipates quickly and leaves a moderate lacing. Aroma is pale malts, honey, wheat, and a clearly orange citrus. Not bad, but okay. I do like the clear orange, however. The flavor is surprisingly good. Lots of honey and a good amount of orange. Very noticeable honey sweetness, actually. It lingers really nicely into the aftertaste. Slightly wheaty, but more pale malty tasting than wheat. Kind of has a graham cracker taste to it. Palate is highly carbonated and medium to light, but the honey really gives it a flatter feel. Overall, I really like this a lot more than the reviews have given it. The obvious honey taste lasts throughout and extends into the aftertaste. Im a big fan of that. The orange, on the other hand, is clearly pronounced, unlike a lot of beers where the citrusy taste is a mix between orange, lemon, or grapefruit. I also appreciate this quality. Its a nice sweetness without being extremely malty or sugary. I would say if you take the time to enjoy this and really like honey, this is a recommended beer. Well done! I am instantly reminded of Bells Oberon, except this is a little too subtle for me. Good summer brew, but I like to have my ass kicked a little more. Cheers Ernest (4515), Boulder, Colorado, USA
