Rohrbach Don Barone’s Brown Ale is very clear and solid brown with a thin, dense, mocha head that shows outstanding retention and lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet with chocolate and caramel notes. It has a smooth, medium-full, cookie dough body with a slightly gritty, dry finish. The flavor is well balanced. It’s a little bitter and a little roasty. There are notes of caramel and chocolate liqueur. It’s full flavored, big and brown.

A dark reddish brown pour. Aroma of sweet malt. Flavor of sweet malt, chocolate and some hops. Some of that is roasted. It’s alright.

Great appearance. Dark brown with reddish highlights and a thick head. Had nice lacing as well. The nose was malty and the palate was sweet and doughy. Enjoyable, had never seen this here.
