probstk (695), Nepean, Ontario, Canada Oct 25, 2006 Sampled at Real Beer Expo (Rochester). Deep amber colour, tight head with good duration. Deep caramel, butterscotch candy and light hops on the nose. Med.-full carbonation and med. body. Malty start, hoppy bitter finish with a little sweetness. jgb9348 (1849), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA Mar 18, 2003 Dark colour, especially for a pale ale. Good aroma, and a nice slightly hoppy taste! Pretty good aftertaste, definately worth a try if you can find it!
Had on tap from Mex, in Rochester, New York. Sammy (3141), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 2, 2007 Great fresh on cask at Old Toad. Like a golden. WIth some head and active carbonation. Medium mouthfeel, yeast there. Can pass for a Belgian. j_b (756), Rochester, New York, USA Jun 23, 2006 Had at Rohrbach’s under the monicker "Old Nate’s Pale Ale". A bit of an English style pale, with a malty taste and not quite as hoppy as some American’s. I liked it, nice dark orange appearance, nice malty aroma and rich palate, and I like a wee bit of hops. Haslinger (552), Syracuse, New York, USA Jul 27, 2008 On tap at Empire brewfest in Syracuse. The aroma is malty, the taste is malt with some nut, not too nutty but a good mix. Good brew would buy again
