Crosling (1854), Loveland, Colorado, USA Oct 3, 2004 Sampled at a restaurant in Rome, Italy solely serving Rome Brewing Company’s beers on draft.
Really subtle but lovely aroma. Light fruitiness , mainly coriander and orange peel.
The lack of a Belgian yeast strain does effect things but it doesn’t take away from the beer that much. Orange, tangerine and coriander with an unusual pleasant mustiness that came out as the beer warmed a bit. This is much more and american wheat beer spiced with coriander than a Belgian Blanche. This somehow works but it could improve a bit and I have a feeling Michael will change the recipe in the future.
