chris_o (4405), London, Greater London, England Sep 17, 2005 Cask (gravity dispense), Chelmsford Beer Festival, July 2005. Good deep, rich, dark brown colour. Beefy, full roast, smoky malt aroma. Light chocolate notes and a hint of licorice to go with the roast malt in the flavour. Sweetish, but some late bitterness comes into the picture. Smooth but not too soft, with a bit of bite. A very nice mild.
duff (5404), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Jul 22, 2005 Cask@Chelmsford Beer festival. Aha! i knew Dan might like this one. Very nice mild indeed. Smooth lightly chocolate/mocha characters. Softy and creamy. Manages to reach most corners of the tongue, while being light in body (it is a mild of course) Nicel lengthy finish. Daniel_Brown (1919), Birmingham (via Leicester), West Midlands, England Jun 10, 2005 Hand pulled at the Anchor, Birmingham. Dark, as you would expec, with a reasonable thickness. Light and creamy, but a nice sweet coffee flavour. Smooth and quite long, with a good aftertaste. Nice.
