Fin (2179), Merton, Oxfordshire, England Feb 19, 2007 Cask conditioned at Merton Beer Festival 17-02-07. A pale golden coloured beer with great hoppy and fruity notes. This was a nice beer but one that I felt was trying a just little too hard to be something different. I felt that overall whilst this tasted pretty decent it was also a little bit muddled and the combination of hops hadn’t gelled that well. This beer was fruity, hoppy and had plenty of citrus and had some sweetness swishing around, as I said a good beer but not particularly memorable. Hoppy and slightly citrus aroma. Clear golden coloured hoppy and citrus with a little dryness in a crisp floral malt finish. chris_o (4405), London, Greater London, England Dec 4, 2006 Cask (handpump) at The Palace, Leeds. Pretty typical Roosters fare, but nothing wrong with that. Golden colour, maybe not quite as pale as some of the Roosters beers. Plenty of citric hop, but juicy rather than rasping, with an earthy touch for good measure. Underlying biscuity malt provides structure. A nice drinker.
maeib (3949), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England Nov 27, 2006 Cask conditioned - handpump - Swan and Rushes Leicester. A vgolden orange coloured beer with a small off-white head and a little lacing. The aroma is citrus hoppy in that typical clean Roosters way. The taste is fruity and citic with mandarins to the fore. Very clean, very tasty and moreish. Another winner from Roosters. jehoey (705), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 11, 2006 cask at the Maltings, York: Nice fruity aroma, some citurs and earth. This is also reflected in the wonderful fruity flavors in this ale. Lots of eathiness, citrus, and fruitiness. Nice complement in the malt of this beer as well. golden ale with small cask head. medium body. Really Nice
