jbrus (4835), Delft, Netherlands May 9, 2009 Tap@Brewpub. Fruity and sweet aroma. Amber colour, off-white head, good lace. Sweet, light bitter, fruity, light floral, caramel, hint of jasmine. Sticky mouthfeel. Flavourful and easy going. boFNjackson (1233), Portland, Oregon, USA Jan 14, 2009 Tap... Poured red with a thin head that faded immediately. Really sweet with brown sugars and candy on the nose. Mild carbonation on the palate and cough syrup like flavors up front. Eventually it created a sweet Jello like flavor towards the finish (that must have been the heather tips taking over). The malt was the only give away that this was a beer. Otherwise it would have been just like carbonated, awkward fruit juice. riversideAK (2648), Shoreline, Washington, USA Nov 19, 2008 Orange pour with a thin head. Aromas of light grainy malts, a touch of weird spice. Not too strong actually. Light grainy sweetness with a funny spice in the finish. Very uninteresting, not much going on, at least it was made well. slimchill (773), Austin, Texas, USA Oct 8, 2008 Draught. Nose is the mild floral sweetness of heather. Cloudy orange-brown with a thin white head. Flavor is smooth and balanced, lightly sweet, floral, and just a faint hint of oranges. Finishes somewhat bland. Very easy-drinking. Ungstrup (14757), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 14, 2008 Draft. An amber beer with a rim of beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of brewmash, while the flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel. skoisirius (570), Seattle, Washington, USA May 21, 2008 On tap @ Brouwer’s. Not an enjoyable experience...quite flat, and somewhat flavorless. Traces of heather are definitely detectable, but not to be note worthy at all. WeeHeavySD (2941), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA Feb 8, 2008 4th Brewery 07-08 Brew Trip with Bikesandbeer. Pours orange with a sweet nose. Taste is also sweet, and light and generally pretty nice with a little bite. beerbrat99 (119), Portland, Oregon, USA Jan 20, 2008 Draft. Hazy amber color, looks a bit dirty. No head and no lacing. Aroma of caramel malts, pine and juniper berries. Taste is of juniper, butter and earthy mineral character. An interesting idea for a beer but not very as drinkable as I hoped.
