With over 1,700 pounds of malt and 65 pounds of hops make this a truly epic ale. The 2006 vintage is 13.5% abv.

22oz bottle. once again from todd....i echo the same sentiments as andrew below. i thought i had entered this rating but apparently not.... sweet dark fruit, tofee, and vanilla flavors. carbonation was a little prickly but it maintained a smooth profile overall. a little bit of added cherry as well. didn’t really detect much of a hop presence. this might be up your alley if you’re into a sweet, malty, and strong american ale.

Sampled courtesy of a nice guy at the 2009 Stone Sour Fest. Looking over other ratings that would be Floydster, thanks man! Pours a nice brown with a thin light brown head. Very malty beer, perhaps even maltier compared to the days sour drinks. A real nice oakiness with a solid caramel driving force. Nice beer, I’m glad I finally figured out the correct name for the rating I had wrote down.

On tap at 2009 Stone Sour Fest. Huge foamy head. #199/200. Some oxidation. Very dark red-brown color. Very sweet. Dryish illusion from all the carbonation. Lots of burn.

Pours deep ruddy broiwn with a tan head that envelopes the glass. Heavily carbonated creating a sharp mouthfeel. Flavor is meaty, like iron. Just not a good experience.
