Pours deep ruddy broiwn with a tan head that envelopes the glass. Heavily carbonated creating a sharp mouthfeel. Flavor is meaty, like iron. Just not a good experience.

Deep red pour with off white head and lace. Brown sugar and cheery aroma. Toasted malt and brown sugar flavor. Medium full bodied with very good carbonation.

Stone Sour Fest shared by Floydster. Thanks a lot! Bottle #199/200. Copper brown with a gusher head. Malt and yeast nose. Sweet spices. Warming on the nose. Taste is alcohol, dark fruit, with a sharp malt finish. Licorice hidden in there?

Bottle shared at Noogfest High 5. Poured hazy copper brown color with an average frothy light brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy earthy hop and malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Moderate to heavy dark fruit sweet flavor with a moderate to heavy bittersweet finish of medium to long duration. Very good brew that I would recommend to a freind.

I think this is the right entry. Magnum bottle provided by some one [Floydster] at the Stone Sourfest. Label read Roots Epic 2008 Series 4 Bottle 1999. Pours with a hazy to milky brown body. Aroma of raisins, light smoke, toffee and caramel. Taste is smoke, raisins, spice and light toffee. Light bubbles.

Sample from Noogfest High 5. The body was reddish brown with a yelloing khaki head. This was overcarbonated. The bread dough and raisin aroma was fairly pleasing. Taste of sweet peanuts and caramel. There was a slightly dry woody finish. Nice stuff, they need to get the carbonation down.
