Nov 17, 2007 OnTap at the BP. Hazy deep majogany with a small white head. Dark fruit aroma, apples and raisoms. Flavor was malty and a touch cidery. Very lttle hop presence. Soft trailer ackong any bitterness. interesting abd drinkable.

Oct 26, 2007 Draught. Poured amber with off white head. .Malty aroma with a coffee note. Much warmth with a malty body, and more black unsweetened coffe notes. Citrusy tones in finish not found in body.

Mar 27, 2007 My third time trying this beer, first two times I thought they served me the wrong beer. Pours thick cloudy amber with a soft off-white head. Big citrus hop nose with a sweet resin note to it. Not as much sweetness as I was expecting from a strong ale, more just like a winter IPA aiming for a big bitter finish with a lot of grapefruit character.

Mar 13, 2007 bounteous hop aroma, mix of citrus & floral, light malt backdrop. dark orange with a modest head. almost palpable carbonation giving it a light (on draft) feel. quickly warming the belly. toasted malt flavor under the massive hops, which have harshness on the edges, bordering on metallic & grapefruit.
