Angeloregon (2024), Portland, Oregon, USA Jun 30, 2008 I was surprised by the flavor of this beer after knowing its name and not realizing the genre of beer. Light amber bodied with a small white head. Spicier than hops can account for. A pepper beer! A ha! Stung the lips after each sip. Coupled with the hops in the brew it was dancing all over my palate and down my throat. Finished a little dull outside of the pepper burn. Not an everyday beer, but quite interesting and worth the go. beerinmarch (2781), Alabama, USA Oct 20, 2006 Normally i’d be with the rater before me "i coudln’t drink a ton of this", as I normally say with most pepper beers, but I ordered two pints of this, it was that good. This pepper beer came out so well, I was really pleased with the amount of pepper taste without the massive "i’m goin to regret this tomorrow" feeling. Very well balance where the malts and peppers played off each other, then a nice mild hop finish smoothed it all over. glkaiser (1150), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 13, 2006 While I couldn’t drink tons of this, I was more impressed with this pepper beer than I have been of any others I’ve tasted(maybe 3 or 4?). Golden with a spicy aroma. Has a very strong hot pepper taste, really spicy. Oakes (8057), gone rambling, Vietnam Aug 5, 2006 Golden colour. Fruity hop aroma with light pale malt. Hot habanero taste, again with just some light pale malt. Balanced, but as the vegetal character of the habanero is neither my favourite nor something I think goes well with malt and hop character, probably not my pint of choice. I’m the lyrical danger. presario (2953), Calgary, Alberta, Canada May 28, 2006 They need to update the web page. Pale yellow. Macro clone, too bad. Pepper finish is intriguing.
