| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 4, 2006 Hazy beige colour. The aroma is big on the grapefruits and tropical fruit notes (lime, mango, starfruit). The flavour shows a moderate pamplemousse and melon hoppiness and faint pale malts. It’s a bit thin overall, but I’m into the hops. Finishes quite hoppy and dry. If this is English, there must be a town in Oregon called England. harrisoni (6829), Ashford, Kent, England

My god, it’s like a British beer!!! Slightly yeasty aroma, faint citrus hop. Yeasty in mouth, some juicy malt, citrus hop finish. It’s an English Bitter!!!!! Well done. Kinda flat and boring in mouth. Brilliant!!!!! ¾ (4999), Colorado, USA

Musty cardboard flavor and bitterness, good but lacking depth. Like a simple bitter semi-sweet hop flavor, flowery and very dry. A little thin as well. The good parts include the grapefruit juice sourness and some belgian-like yeast flavors... again, this is another Roots beer that is hard to describe well. BückDich (4854), McCall, Idaho, USA

Nose of starch and musk, a bit of vegetal hop and some sweet crispy malt and hop notes. The flavor is grassy, meh, too vegetal. Skyview (4061), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA

Labeled as Roots Organic Pale on chalkboard, pours a semi-hazy golden pale blonde brew with a decent head that quickly dissolved to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of a balanced light fruity malt and citrus hops with a light carbonation. Taste has light to medium body texture with a slight yeast and bitter flavor. Finish is dry and a citrus hop aftertaste. WeeHeavySD (3016), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA
