This was not the greatest porter that I have ever had, but what a great idea to add coconut. It works really well and is just subtle enough in the flavor profile that you get it as an afterthought and you think to yourself, that really adds to the flavor. Other than that, standard fare porter flavors, but it does add that tropical flavor to it, and that give it points in my book

Thought this was called Toasted Coconut Porter. It’s a brown porter style, and actually fits style better than most of their brews. Deep brown color with some light at the bottom, and a light brown head. Lactic yeast and past coconut flavors are noted. A bit harsh on the palate, unrefined ans raw tasting. Some sweet maple and chewy, dusty and chalky creame flavors. Mildly toasted nose - overall a bit sour.

Tap at Hood River Hops Fest. Deep brown in color with not a lot of head formation. Aroma is nicely roasted, nutty with just a hint of coconut. Lighter side of medium bodied. Flavor is a bit nutty with a taste of coconut. Bonus points for blending in the coconut but just lacks body and flavor.
