Nose is floral hops with a grapefruit tinge. Mouthfeel is lively and almost oily and lingers on the teeth and tongue. Flavor is quite bitter and you know you are drinking an IPA. Finish is a nice and long and appropriately bitter. A very good IPA. SamuraiArtist (292), portland, Oregon, USA

Dry-hopped with magnum! reminds me of an imperial ipa but not the alcohol level. Very floral, citrusy and quite bitter. One of the more bitter IPA’s ive had. The only downside of it is that it is a little dry and the amount of hops really lingers on the tongue. Which is good or bad depending on your taste. Bockyhorsey (2554), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Copper body with off white head and left a spiderweb of lacing inside the glass. Flavor is definently dry hopped. Decent malt citrus blend to texure otherwise this would be too dry. Decent on the palate and the word I guess here is a decent beer. argo0 (6994), Washington DC, USA

Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit, light orange -- nothing extraordinary but very aromatic, really caught my attention. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, some orange, caramel. Pretty bitter. Creamy medium body. Could be the best organic IPA I’ve tried. Angeloregon (2036), Portland, Oregon, USA

And this works out great, because I straight up looove them!. The Woody is the type of beer you’d expect to find at such a place in Portland, Oregon. An imperial pint served at the brewery is the only thing better than one of these citrusy hoppy and earthy malty badboys in a 22oz bottle. No oils or flipflops necessary to enjoy this amazing beer, just a glass and a love for great beer. bu11zeye (5621), Frisco, Texas, USA

Light aroma of caramel, citrus, and toastiness. Flavor of caramel malt and hops with a bitter finish. greenhorn1 (462), Mission Viejo, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Jan 14, 2007 22 oz bottle. Pours a hazy dark orange with a big head that dissipates quickly. Big floral and grapefruit aroma. Flavor of citrus and pine needles, with some sweet carmel notes. The only problem I had with this beer is that it was fairly watered down, very weak body. The hops definitely make up for what it is lacking, but leaves the beer somewhat unbalanced. I typically do not have good luck with organic beers, but this was not bad. raphael (420), Portland, Oregon, USA
