650 ml bottle from Bev4less. Supposedly a freshly brewed batch. Bottle is a gusher. Pours a cloudy copper color with a big foamy off-white head. The aroma is strong with fresh citrus, earth and some sweet banana. The taste is hops forward with piney biter hops that are a bit harsh at times; supporting flavors of almonds, bubblegum and banana. The mouthfeel was just a bit on the thin side. The finish was medium in duration with lingering harsh biter hops. Overall: A very enjoyable IPA, but not a great one.

A very apt name considering it tastes like a forest floor. Lot of wood, lot of pine. Looks fantastic with a great head. Leaves a nice bitter tang in your mouth long after it is gone. Solid IPA with the bonus of being organic.

Bottle... Poured a foggy, burnt orange with a huge, i repeat, HUGE, white head. Aroma of peppery hops, and earthy, woodsy notes. Well carbonated and crisp hop flavors. Had a dab of maybe caramel sweetness, and buttery hops for balance. Dry finish that was herbal and hoppy.

The hops are so acrid it ruins the actual flavor of the ale. A good example how trying to simply get a bitter IPA can go all wrong.

Bomber from South Bay. Bright amber in color. Harsh acrid hop aroma. Dry hoppy, spiced flavors. Somewhat bready. Spicy hop finish. Good drinkable IPA. My first Roots.

Draught @ Brouwer’s, Seattle. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a small off-white head. Has a malty hoppy aroma with hints of citrus. Malty hoppy bitter flavor with pine needles and citrus hints. Has a long dry very hoppy bitter piney finish.

Thanks to Zathrus13 for this bottle. Pours out a light copper color with a big fluffy white head. Aroma is of resiny/pine hops with a touch of sweetness. Taste is of nice piney/citrusy hops with slight caramel and a little bit of earth, with a bitter resiny finish. Very solid and drinkable IPA. Well done

22oz bottle. I wasn’t expecting such a good beer, very nice. Pours cloudy orange/amber with a huge, sudsy white head, sticky spider web lace. Smells slightly nutty and astringent, citrusy hoppy. Tastes super bitter, slightly nutty, grassy and damn bitter! Just a hint of sweetness. Medium body, mouth paralyzing bitter, vibrant carbonation
