500 ml bottle. Dark reddish body with a big beige head. Aroma is dominated by spices like cinnamon, ginger and cloves. Flavor is quite light malty with Christmas spices like aroma, could be more dominating.

Bottle. (trade w/papsoe) Poured a dark brown, hazy body, with a beige to tan head. Quite Christmas-like aroma, with cinnamon, cloves and ginger, as well as roasted malt and sweetness. Spiced and roasted flavor, but a bit boring, at least not as interesting as the aroma. A bit thin on the body as well, and it finishes quite roasted, with cinnamon and ginger as well. The beer is a bit unusual, yet nice, but still I would like it more pronounced. (070809)

Bottle. [Big thanks to Thomas_E for letting me have this for free!!!! ] Large creamy beige had that mostly lasted. Pitch black color. Displayed some fair lacework. Heavy malty aroma with notes of Christ malt of cause. Roasted malt and then came the orange peel, light chocolate, cinnamon and other mix of Christmas spice. Also a heavy underlying aroma of English liquorish. Medium to almost full bodied with an average carbonation and light alcoholic and dry texture. Moderated sweet malty flavor with light bitter notes. Ends with English liquorish that almost starts off bitter and then turns sweet at the end. A very different Porter then I have ever experienced before.

Courtesy Degarth. Dark brown/black/ruby with a small, creamy, tan head. Winter spiced porter- christmas tree, nutmeg, cinnamon, cocoa on a malt base. Medium, balanced palate. Interesting.

courtesy of Papsoe - very dark brown well almost black colour with a creamy, persistent beige head; nice lace; strongly spicy aroma with cloves and cardamom; medium-bodied, initially sweet with a moderate sourness, very dry and long spicy finish showing more notes of cloves and christmas biscuits - hey! it’s Christmas in june ...

Medium sized beige head with very good retention. Thin arc lacing. The body is very dark chocolate and chestnut in color. Aromatic spruce could serve as fragrance enough for a large room, as it is the first and most powerful note to emerge from the glass. Cardamom and cinnamon follow suit. Strawberries with cream and chocolate, lightly roasty malt and cherries are plentiful as well. Adding to the complex aroma are hints of elderberries, then coriander in copious doses. This certainly has a holiday themed aroma. The flavor is sprucey still, but now adequately showcases toasted grains and caramel malt that hold everything neatly in place. Light to medium acidity, medium sweetness with heavy residual sugars. The finish is spicy and smooth. mouthfeel is heavily carbonated. A very interesting experience.

Deep reddish brown colour with dense tan head. Malty, quite spicy aroma with cardemomme standing out. Light roasted malty flavor with a vague coffee note and a spicy dry finish.
