Watery mouthfeel, soapy and overly fizzy carbonation does no good for this beer which has little taste to boast of from the beginning. ’Fresh’ is the best thing I can say about this pop-like wet dog from otherwise promising Rørvig Bryghus. Did I get a bad bottle? I can’t believe this is a serious offering from the same guys who makes a very decent indeed pilsner.

Draught at Rørvig Røgeri (in a plastic glass!). Dark brown with a beige head. Arome moderate malty (caramel) and hoppy (aromahops). Flavor moderate sweet and bitter. Light/medium body, almost flat. Smooth and fine.

(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a hazy amber with huge, floating impurities and a lightly creamy, off-white head. Aroma of caramel. Somewhat fat, malty body with fresh notes of aroma hops also leaving a distinct bitterness. Quite a decent American style amber ale - if not exactly the most clean cut. 300606

A hazy red beer iwth a thin white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of berries and a light note of acidity and metal lingering in the back ground. The flavor is sweet with notes of berries, leading to a dry metallic after taste. The body is a bit thin. Top fermented lager - I don’t get it.
