Emil (6077), Copenhagen, Denmark Dec 31, 2007 Bottle. A amber beer with a big beige head. The aroma is heavy and of anis, quit spicy, the taste is sweet and roasted, and of anis and spices. Medium body with a anis/licorice finish. To much anis for my taste.

Amber with Ok head. Aroma of anise and malt. Flavor of caramel, liqourice and cane sugar. Balanced anise tone. lghansen (24), Denmark Aug 24, 2008 Color was brown and cloudy. Very foamy tan head. This was an interesting beer, spiced with anise for a sweet licorice flavor. A pleasant anise aroma is also present. Good when pared with something sweet. The alcohol strength is well hidden in this beer. MiP (6029), Flensburg, Germany Jul 6, 2008 Bottle at ÅBF08. Distinct anis aroma. Cough syrup. Hazy brown colour. The flavour is distinctly anisy, good malt base, some sweetness. Quite good. fonefan (4888), Ulfborg, Denmark Jul 6, 2008 Bottle 50cl. Unclear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lancing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light to moderate hoppy, licorice - anis. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
