Unclear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lancing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light to moderate hoppy, licorice - anis. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (170508)

Amber color. There is some aroma of caramel, cookies and light anis. Medium-thin mouthfeel, sweet caramel flavor, some anis, cookies; low bitterness. Not my kind, but correctly brewed.

Jun 3, 2008 Dark bronze with a malty aroma with a lot of anise. The flavour has sweetness, notes of anise, a bit of alcohol, malt and the anise develops slightly dry and rather dominant. You need to be very fond of anise to fully appreciate this beer.
