Jan 21, 2008 Polypin at National Winter Beer Festival, Manchester 2008 Pours a pale straw colour with some haze, there’s quite a soft acidity on the nose with a hint of sourness. The taste was initially sour with some smokiness and also a preserved lemonyness, quite tasty but not as good as Loz’s from Olivers.

Mid yellow colour with a slight haze. Very earthy and wooden aroma with dusty dry pear. Rather oily in the mouth. Full of bacon fat with slightly sour pear and finishing with definite smoked bacon. So so.
