Braudog (3461), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Apr 15, 2008 Draft pint at the brewpub. Amber beer with just a thin top. Tangy, with a metallic hop, and a light caramel flourish. Sessionable, surely. (#3419, 4/12/2008)
timfoolery (294), Alabama, USA Jul 16, 2008 Got a taste from the tap at Rubicon. This brew was decidedly weak and uncomplex. There was some thought that it tasted lagerish, although had the characteristics of a Pale. Overall, it was a mild version of what I expect from the genre. Angeloregon (1516), Portland, Oregon, USA May 8, 2008 On tap at Hamilton’s in San Diego, CA--Copper-amber body with a scant white head. Biscuity malt nose with evidence of mild bitter hops. Slight metallic presence. Crisp, mildly oxidized. Nothing special but worth a try. Taverner (413), San Ramon, California, USA Apr 14, 2008 Fairly average Pale Ale. Light, malty, bready flavor. The nose is classic brewers yeast. There is a nice bite in the aftertaste though, so its not a total loss. rkuhnel (977), Eureka, California, USA Mar 27, 2008 On tap at the brewpub in Sacramento. In the glass this was the color of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, which is kind of a copper tint. Laid up a nice white head and decent lacing. Nose is malts and citrus hops. Medium mouthfeel and a flavor that is dominated by the hops. Long bitter finish. A good APA.
