riversideAK (1456), Shoreline, Washington, USA May 6, 2008 Dark brown/black with a nice head. Aroma is roasted and burnt malts, a touch of smoke. The flavor has nice roasty notes, chocolate, burnt and smokey notes. Creamy, light sessionable. A nice stout.
Braudog (3461), Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates Apr 15, 2008 Draft pint at the brewpub. Classic Irish appearance, dark, creamy white top that stays put. Very nice -- light body, but really creamy, lightly coffeed, mildly roasty. Excellent!! (#3420, 4/12/2008) Taverner (413), San Ramon, California, USA Apr 14, 2008 Draft at brewpub. Black with a very nice, frothy creamy head. Notes of roasted chocolate. Almost milky on the tongue at first. despite this, its a pretty light stout. I would love to see them turn this into an Impy Stout. rkuhnel (977), Eureka, California, USA Mar 27, 2008 On tap at the brewpub in Sacramento. Came in the glass very black with a tan head. Left good lacing. Nose of roasted malts with coffee and chocolate. Mouthfeel is rich and creamy. Flavor is a bit light and there is a dry finish. Decent stout. bhensonb (2713), Woodland, California, USA Dec 29, 2007 Draft at the brewpub. Dark toasted aroma. Opaque black color with a creamy nitro style tan head. Medium body with smooth nitrogenation. Dark toasted flavor of malt, very light sweeetness, and not too heavy on hop. A hint of chocolate off and on. The finish is rather dry, and the remnants of burnt toast persist. Something of a cross between "old" & "new" Guinness. Nice aftertaste.
