DYCSoccer17 (2009), Davis, California, USA Jun 13, 2008 16 ounce sample on tap at the brewpub. A little bit of a fruity, berry-like estery yeast aroma. Some peat notes are also in there. Light metal aromas. Not overly assertive. Transparent ruddy-amber body with a small off-white head. Starts chewy with some maltiness and some tannins in the middle. Some light fruity and floral notes are present in the middle. Finishes dry, long, herbal, and a bit bitter noble hoppiness. Pretty good stuff. Taverner (432), San Ramon, California, USA May 21, 2008 Pours brown with very little head. Flavor is yeasty and a little sharp. Just enough bitterness for a Negro Modelo-ish beer.
