Nice long lasting head with light lacing. Light to medium body. If you can find it, drink it. Smooth and easy drinking. OhioDad (2491), Hilliard, Ohio, USA

Aromas of roast, and a little chocolate. Flavor is malty. Lots of roasted notes with some chocolate, and just a touch of coffee. Finish is somewhat bitter and dry. Pretty well carbonated and somewhat airy on the palate. Soft mouthfeel. Pretty drinkable but lacks the big flavor that I enjoy in a porter. bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 16, 2006 Bottled. Pours a clear dark amber/brown with a slight but lacy tan head. Surprisingly little aroma, with a bit of chocolate and coffee. Medium body. Taste starts malty sweet with some chocolate and a bit of coffee. Lingering bitter finish. Everything but the carbonation seems a bit light for a porter. Sham (1846), Seattle, Washington, USA

Big fizziness in the first moment that fades into a mildly bitter, almost milky taste. elektrogeist (158), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Pleasant smell, the proper look for a porter, and the flavor-to me at least-is very pleasant. More dominated by chocolate flavor than anything, with hints of other things underneath. Surprisingly good beer for stuff made out in the middle of nowhere, if you can actually find it it is worth a shot or two.. or a six pack ;) ratman197 (3273), Arvada, Colorado, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 3, 2005 Pours a dark reddish-brown with a small amber head that shrinks quickly. Smokey malty aroma with some coffee notes. Dry malty flavor up front with a hint of coffee. Finishs dry with a slightly bitter aftertaste. dwyerpg (2553), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 3, 2005 Smells almost like a smoked porter. Reddish brown with little head. Flavoring is more reminiscent of a nut brown ale than a porter - not that sweet, but has some tanginess. The slight dryness in the finish is unfortunate.
