Crisp citrusy hoppy nose has a hint of pale maltiness. Body starts thinner and semi-sweet with an earthy bittering hop presence toward a drier bittersweet finish. BückDich (4848), McCall, Idaho, USA

The aroma was sweet cake donuts with some fall leaves. There was also some fresh wood and caramel. The taste was toffee with some tea and bread crust. I thought that this was a nice example of the style. Braudog (3766), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 26, 2003 Poured copper-orange with good head, looking like a home-brew. There's a great citric-grapefruit hoppy aroma here, which is unexpected. The flavor is well hopped, but with the overriding character of the caramel lager. Bit more bittered than traditional Vienna's, but a good beer. ChainGangGuy (2568), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 13, 2008 Appearance: Pours a lightly hazy, orangey body with a thin, white head.
Smell: Vague pale and caramel maltiness with some light floral hints.
Taste: Hint of caramel malt and sweetness, and nothing more maltwise. Bit of spicy hops. Disappointing non-finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Not really much of a vienna and even that likeable for that matter. dwyerpg (2537), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Not very hoppy, nice balance between light and filling. Has a somewhat nutty flavor, which detracts from the beer’s quality. Had on tap in Ely, Nevada. Re-rate. Bought again in Vegas by mistake, thought I was buying one I hadn’t had. Well, not as good this time around
