Commercial Description:
A blend of the finest malted wheat, pale and munich malts, gives this unfiltered Hefeweizen style Wheat its golden color and signature flavor. Late kettle hopping produces hop flavors and aromas that balance perfectly with the distinctive malt character.

Poured with a monsterous bubbly head, but it quickly subsided over the golden beer. There's a pungent banana-clove aroma here ... Let's see how it tastes ... Sharp, citric, wheaty. Good razory wheat beer for the US. Well done.

Normally I drink Weihenstephaner, which I believe is the best example of a great hefeweizen. This is, however, one of the best American brewed hefeweizens I’ve tried. Strong banana flavor and a mild head. Very good, domestic, summer brew.

Bottle poured a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aromas of bananas, citrus, and yeast. Palate is smooth and clean. Flavors of bananas, bubblegum, spices and yeast. A good summer thirst quencher.

12oz bottle via trade with cbkschubert! - Thanks Craig! - Pours golden cloudy with a short white head that fades quickly. Aromas of clove and light bannana. Flavor is bannana, bubblegum, some clove. Good light crisp and clean palate. Not overly carbonated but enough to give it a refreshing mouthfeel. I think this is a fine hefeweizen that rivals the German brewed beers of this style. Better than anticipated for sure!

on draft: it always kills me when american brewers make a hefeweizen...it cant be done. lets just call them american wheat or american something. because they will never be able to beat them germans anyway, off the soapbox. this was your typical AMERICAN wheat yellow haze, white head, banana bubblegum, what a great combination. ask your produce manager to grow that! refreshing and easy to drink.

bottle - Pours a hazy straw color with a light white head. Has a huge banana and yeast aroma. Flavor is much of the same. Light body and mouthfeel. Very easy to drink. Hard to find, but worth a try. A real nice German Hefe.

Bottle courtesy of BrewDad and his wife! Alas, the elusive Nevada rating has been achieved. Slightly hazy gold. Small white froth bunched up on one side of the glass. Nose is huge banana and bubblegum. Yeast, lemon slices and soft wheat aromas come through as well. Taste on this just hits the spot, really. More bubblegum (kind of like the stale kind in baseball cards sets from when I was a kid), banana, lemon notes, wheat, and light yeast. Pretty standard hefeweizen but is rather well done. Body is light and refreshing. Mild carbonation. Finishes with a breadier wheat flavor, light lemon, stronger yeast notes, and candyish fruits. Nice!
