thewolf (3490), Kolding, Denmark Aug 16, 2008 Can, bought @ LIVA, Kolding.
Pours a nice, clear, caramelly brown with a medium , staying, creamy, off-white head. Aroma is unspectacular, some citric hoppiness and light caramel and grass. Low carbonation, fine mouthfeel. Dry and quite nice flavour. Very serious bitterness, mostly pine and floral hops appearing. Some slight caramel in the finish. Quite fine. bee__R (15), Italy Aug 14, 2008 500 ml transparent bottle.Creamy, frothy, lasting head. Clear amber-orange color. Very pleasant but light aroma which clashes with the strong taste.
The nose is a soft blend of malt, caramel and a spicy erbaceus hint but the taste is a light sweetness quickly overtaken by a strong and longlasting bitterness. Mediulm and smooth body and good carbonation. nearbeer (1201), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Aug 12, 2008 500 ml bottle. Clear orange-dark copper with a small, lasting ring of cream. Aroma is slight skunk and caramel. Flavor is toffee, turning to a less sweet caramel apple, and then to a nice balance from a woody bitter finish. Light -medium body is a little too carbonated, and plenty hop tingly with a dry finish. KAggie97 (1884), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Aug 9, 2008 Bottle with Onslow. Nice! Pours a classic tea brown with a frothy white head. Aroma is hopped lemon iced tea. Flavor is bitter hops with a classic English sour malt finish. Creamy and slippery mouthfeel. Nice English ale, but probably not for our Hyacynth.
