Commercial Description:
Aud Blonde may be the lightest colored beer we have ever brewed at Russian River Brewing Company, but don't be fooled into thinking that this beer is light in flavor. It has a refined characteristic, which can be contributed to us blending pilsner malt with a unique hop called crystal. The distinctive characteristic of the crystal hop lends a citrus, almost eucalyptus quality in the aroma and mouth feel of the brew, while leaving the beer with a long dry finish.

On tap @ O’Brien’s: I had arrived the day after the Russian River night in hopes to try few beers left over from the night before but was left with only a few choices and this one of the two. Simple aroma of grain and grass with not much else. Grassy hops flavor with presence of grain and breaded wheat. Highly carbonated though average aftertaste that just tastes unripe to me.

Honestly not bad for a blonde ale, I would actually consider drinking another of these and I can’t say that I’ve felt that way about this style before. Nice yellow color with a medium white head and some okay lacing. Cereal like aroma with some floral traces and a decent malty taste with a dry finish and some floral hoppiness to it. One of my least favorite from the RR sampler tray, but still not a bad beer.

Very solid for a blonde ale. Not too exciting, but very drinkable. Pours yellowish with a white head, some C-hops on the aroma. Flavor is slightly sweet pale malt and floral hop bitterness. Light and smooth.

Enjoyable beer. Tap at O’Briens 15th, golden color, a bit cloudy? A bit of a whit taste to it. Dry finish. A little odd and I’m not a big fan of the style. Fun to try.

Draft at obriens russian river night. Pours a clear light golden color with a fluffy white head. Nose of corn and cereal grains. A pretty good blonde.

On tap at the Russian River brewpub in Santa Rosa. Clear, golden colored with a tangy flavor, this is a nice beer

Pours golden with white head and nice lacing. Smell is light sweet clean malt and a touch floral. Taste is cleanish but slight musty and floral. Very light honey and yeast flavor w touch hops. Med. Body and soft carbonation, but this was surprisingly good fresh on tap. I liked it quite a bit better than I thought I would.
