Commercial Description:
Aud Blonde may be the lightest colored beer we have ever brewed at Russian River Brewing Company, but don't be fooled into thinking that this beer is light in flavor. It has a refined characteristic, which can be contributed to us blending pilsner malt with a unique hop called crystal. The distinctive characteristic of the crystal hop lends a citrus, almost eucalyptus quality in the aroma and mouth feel of the brew, while leaving the beer with a long dry finish.

This is a very nice, complex, very flavourful, yet light and refreshing beer. It is gold, with slow, steady, constant, even streams of bubbles and a medium, but lasting, creamy white head that leaves lots of rich, even lace. It smells of fruit, grain, crackers, with hints of citrus, yeast, and herbs. The taste is simlar, with a distinct fruity quality, plenty of lightly toasted grain, citrus, crackers, a hint of yeast and herbs. It is lightly sweet and bitter with great balance and a light sour hint added in. Although light, it is full of a lot of wonderful flavours and it is very satisfying.

On-tap at the brewpub. Pours light amber with a fluffy white head, lots of spider web lace. Smells mellow grassy hoppy with a nice malt backbone. Tastes surprisingly hoppy, grassy, earthy and mellow. Not too bitter at all, sweet and cereal malty. Medium body, good carbonation.

Growler shared by beastiefan2k - very light colored beer, with a soapy, lasting head - fairly grainy and grassy aroma, with almost peppery hops, apparent pils malt, and a slightly belgianish yeast character - none of that character in the flavor, though - just clean yet bready pale malts and pleasant grassy bitterness - dries out and gets a bit chalky in the finish, leaving the tongue anxious for more - nice beer.

Big thanks to golubj for sending this and beastiefan2k for sharing it. Very pale straw coloured beer with a thin white head. Aroma is really nice. Clean fresh hay, straw and a lovely floral/zesty hoppy aroma. Lightly citrusy. A lightly bready maltiness, a little bit flinty and chalky. Really great balance, a little bit of lightly belgian sort of earthiness. Man, this is a very tasty/quaffable summer beer.

on tap at The Russian River Brewing Company in Santa Rosa, CA. hue is very much like the hair color "ash blonde." very clear, highly carbonated, minimal (yet creamy) white head. scattered lacing looks like full-bodied paisleys dancing along the glass. smells of mild hops and pears. tastes of pine hops and citrus. light bitterness. clean mouthfeel. very nice.

Draft @ Russian River. Pours a clear, light-golden color; white head with good retention and gorgeous fine-bubbled lacing. Nicely dry, crisp aroma of sugar and toasty crackers and light minerals. Medium mouthfeel: lots of crisp mineral bitterness and toasty malts; very dry core, and very drinkable; beautifully put-together blonde ale; I could (and should) drink a ton of this. Medium finish: dry mineral bitterness and plenty of toast.

Tap at the brewpub: Very pale golden pour with a dense white lacing head. Mild and dry aroma- crackery, grassy and crisp, quite nice. Light and fluffy on the palate. Dry flavor- crackery base under grassy light lemony hop notes (tastes like a noble variety). Dry throughout and crisp. I can drink this all day!

On tap at the brewpub during the RR 4th anniversary. Pours a clear gold color with a sticky white head. Aroma is soft and citric. Flavor is lightly grainy with a lemony zing and a hoppy finish. Mouthfeel is semi-dry and the drinkability is off the charts. One of the most refreshing beers I’ve had.
