Bottle. Cloudy light amber colour with a weak head. Aroma of acidity, sourness and oak. Also flavour of sourness, oak, acid and reminds me more of a geuze than a flemish sour.

Thanks to Cougar for bringing this. Despite the fact my stomach was ill prepared for another sour beer, I felt the need to give it a try. The payoff was worth it - if this were the only thing I had to drink in a night, I could probably split a bottle with someone easily. This is definitely a sipping beer that reveals its heritage as it almost rivals La Folie in its intensity.

Aroma / Appearance - Super sour cherries, vinous notes and honey wheat bread hits the senses first. After the nose recovers from the intensely sour wave, additional flavors include candy sugar and honeysuckle fresh from the vine. The overall experience is sweet and tempting, almost like a bag of Sour Patch kids. The amber colored body has no lacing at all but just sits in the bottom of the glass awaiting your stomach.

Flavor / Palate - Fruity white wine, strawberries, sugar and super sweet cake frosting form a decieving first wave. Next the sourness kicks in as it completely dries out the mouth. The overall experience is almost like a champagne but more intense. I’m glad to have tried this one. Russian River beers are always a good experience.

Sweet, sour cherry, apricots, oranges, vanilla oak and a touch of acid. Pale yellow in color with a nice white head. Flavor is incredibly sour with many complex flavor that remind me of cherries, light malt, lemon zest, oak-y vanilla. Very dry mouth feel, nice and crisp. Recommended. Thanks to CaptainCougar for sharing.

Sampled at the Falls Tasting: Lightly cloudy blonde giving up acceptable head that fades at the endd. She has a tart and saucy nose, and a sour pucker that is pleasingly intense.

Not sure what to expect. I had a glass in front of me and no description. My thought from the flavour was a Blonde Flemish Brown and that appears to be the goal. Good sturdy head floating on a murky orange liquid. Sour brown aroma. Dry sour and yummy. Not expected at all but if I had read the description first exactly what should have been expected. Thanks to Oakes and BA friends.

Doing this one from memory, about a week after I had it. Thanks Jeff for the bottle!!! I had this side by side with a La Folie, and this was sooo much better. Similar characteristics to the La Folie but much more subtle and much more complex. Very appreciated the level of detail and time that went into this beer. Not the over powering sour that I have had in other flemish sours, while having a very nice carbonation with the cleanest and driest finish of almost any beer I have had. This was very interesting beer, and highly enjoyable. Thanks again for the chance to try this brew Jeff!

Pours a clear golden with a lasting white head. Aroma is lactic and actually clean. Not too much funk but a lot of lactic acid. The body is dry to the extreme. Flavors are singular; SOUR. It’s a nice soft sourness. Clean in the American way of producing these beers. Nice beer but I like Temptation better.

Thanks to Kook for this one. Didn’t take too many notes on this, mainly just enjoyed it, great nose, well balanced showing green apples mainly and then some other fruits.
