375 ml bottle batch 1 poured a hazy golden yellow with a large lasting white head. Aromas of tart lemon, straw and musky barnyard. Palate was light to medium bodied and tart. Flavors of tart citrus, straw, a hint of leather and lemon rind with a tart lingering finish.

Batch 001 PH1 Cloudy gold. Creamy white head with hints of orange. Sour fruit, oak laden bugginess. Very full aroma. Very sour, but not too sour.. It has a lot going on. It smells "creamy". Sweet caramel malts, barnyard sour silage cow urine, Sour fruit, weird rotten oak. Dry finish. I can’t figure this out. Apples, vinegar, cheese, orange, strawberries…. All sour though :). A little too fizzy at first though. I love the sourness in this because its really sour but there is so mellow with a ton of stuff going on.

PH1 batch 001 bottle kindly shared by Jason. Cloudy orange/beige body with a small white head. Tart yeasty, bready aroma. The flavor brings in a strong apple vinegar tartness over an oddly toasty white bread base. Some grassy, stemmy hops in the finish. Sort of a two-part flavor - acid alongside a toasty blonde. I don’t see what the big deal is with this one besides the name on the label.

Batch 001-PH1. Thanks Much to Jason for sharing, he is simply the coolest motha fucka around! Cork pops off w/ authoritar and you can hear the carbonation in fairly large distinct individual bubbles rushing to the surface over a highly cloudy off orangish brown colored body.some nice lacing. Very nice full tart aroma, lots of brett. Some light fruits lots of woods, a note of alcohol or even nail polish some slightly harsh notes hints of floral hops or dried flowers. Palate is well coated and lightly fluffy. Flavor is odd good barel aging flavors of wood and some nice tart sour fruits some really off earthy leathery notes... Good but not amazing as many before me have said. ReRate... had a better bottle.. or a more acommodating palate this time.. its such a nice blend of funk and flavor.. very very good..

Batch 001-PH1: Bottle provided by footbalm. Small white head is fizzy, noisey and short lived, lace is nil. Clear gold on the initial pour turning to a hazy orange upon emptying the bottle. Fairly unattractive brew. Tart nose, co2, light fruit, green apples, citrus and a lovely bretty presence, leathery and lumbering. Light bodied with a tingly carbonation, gets creamier as you go along. Thirst quenching tartness. Fruity, oaky flavors, a touch of granny smiths, brett, more lumber and spicey cinnamon notes. Finish is dry, fruity and woody, lightly sour and gently tart I,m not sure about this brew being a Flemish Sour though? Did not perceive any cherry/ sherry, vinegary notes. Just as well though. I like the Blonde Ale title used in the Commercial description anyways. Wish i could of given it a 4 in the appearence dept. though. A very nice brew indeed! Thanks so much Eric! Never imagined i,d get a chance at this lovely brew.

Wow! Shared by Sliffy at the columbus tasting. This is one sour mother flickin’ beer! The aroma was sour with hints of citrus. Light golden in color. The taste was a bodyslam of sourness with some granny smith apples mixed in there. Very nice mouthfeel. I love the inventiveness of R.R., and I hope Vinny keeps brewing so many great beers for a long time to come.

A lighter type of La Folie. Very incredible. I love all the sour yumminess. As I type this in, my mouth is watering.

Shared with Vinnie Cilurzo @ Russian River Brewhouse. (Wow!) PH1 bottling. This is my perfect beer, way better than the aged pale from Petrus. Slightly citrus, orange peel, faint carbonation, goooseberry? Dry on the finish. Outstanding beer!! This’ll take some beating... I have one bottle sitting here, I really need a special ocasion for that onel......
