Lemon, citrus, grass, sourness, horseblanket, salt, slightly foggy amber body. Nice sour bite to it, doesn’t seem like a flemish sour. Taste is lemon, salt, and bret.

(BATCH 001 PH1 BY WAY OF IRISHBOY)murky yellow body with a frizzy white head.as i poured it i could hear a soda pop type fiiizzzzz.aroma was of f-u-n-k(insert barnyard, horse blanket, etc.)seltzer water, and a bit of wood.flavor was much of the same.not bad but its really the usual sour type ale.(re-rate 1-18-09)age has done this bad boy some good.the funk has mellowed a bit and its becoming nice and smooth.

Cloudy dull amber. Big oaky, leather aroma with hints of grape, peach candy, old cheese. Really tart. Very leathery, oaky, a bit grapey flavour. Lively body. So dry and flavourful, very gueuze-like, but the carbo is a shade too high to bring out the best in this beer. PH1.

Batch-001

Mellon color with thin white swirls of tiny white bubbles. Nice lacing on the glass that quickly slides off. Aroma is mid smooth sourness that is well rounded and very pleasent. The liquid tickles the tongue as it swirls around. Just a bit of sour bite. Very refreshing. Nice oaky dryness. Long pleasent finish. 6/4/7/4/17

Batch-001 PH1

Slightly darker shade of mellon than the regular. Aroma is nicely funky. Quite a bit funkier than the regular. The funk is strong and oaky but easy to take. Nothing over the top. Well done. Flavor is a match for the aroma. Sour and fruity. Delicious. 8/4/9/4/18

Batch 001 courtesy of irishboy. On opening, the cork shot across the room. Despite that, the poyr was relatively flat with a small ring of white bubbles sticking around. Smells of citrus, flowers, perfume, some bretty funk. Taste is sour with a chewable vitamin kick. As this one warms, some basic woodiness starts creeping in. Reminds me of a peche lambic in both color and taste.

Bottle shared courtesy of Walt. Batch 001-PH01. Poured a deeper and cloudy golden color with a smaller sized white head. Aroma was yeasty, fruity, musty with cherries and grapes. Tastes of grapes, green apples, some brett and citrus. Lively body. Great stuff, I gotta get me some more!

Thanks to Sliffy for this one. Bottle 001-PH01. Pours out a cloudy golden color with a small lacing reminance of a head. Aroma has some notes of tart citrus and some funky sour aromas. The taste is very complex, but very refreshing and extremely well balanced. Nice sour flavor that is not over powering, the wood notes seem to soften the sourness of the beer to give it a very nice balance. Add to it a nice tartness, this beer was truly an experience. Wish I could have some more of this stuff. Excelent brew
