On tap at Russian River brewpub during the 2009 RBSG visit there. Amber colored with some notes of hops and malt. For whatever reason, this one didn’t do it for me

RBSG09 on tap at the brewpub. Pours dark orange with a thick, cascading, light-beige head. Aroma is nice fresh bread dough with some fruity hops and a metallic note. Flavor is milky and doughy, with light caramel sweetness and some citrus. Nice bitterness and a dry finish.

Bronze and hazed, soapy topping. Bready dough nose, somewhat malty, with a spicy hop touch. Flavors somewhat muddled with a sharp tang, balanced hop and malt interplay, and a bit grainy. Blah.

Drank in tap at the brewpub. Color is a cloudy brown and orange. Light bodied, mouthfeel of a pale ale with some sweetness and creaminess of the malts.

On tap @ the brewpub--this batch is listed @ 5.5% ABV. Hazy orange brown with a one finger light beige head, fading to a creamy thick ring and slightly thinner film. Light fruity yeast with some caramel and toasted malts/grain. Light citrus hops are present as well. Flavor follows suit (fruity yeast, some caramel and toasty malts) with a light citrus tanginess. Dry toasty finish with bitterness at a 3. Smooth light to medium body with light carbonation. Pretty tasty beer--would have no problem drinking a lot of this is one sitting.

Thanks to footbalm for sharing this hand bottled beer. Pours a clear gold with some yeast floating around. The aroma is mostly light grain with some sour notes. The taste is mostly light fruit, sweet bread and some hops. A pretty good example of the style.

Hand bottle from Irishboy, thanks Richard. I should have had this right away but wanted to share it so it sat in the fridge awhile. Copper brew with an Oktoberfest quality. Some sweet maltiness to it with a bit of Marzopan. Not bad at all. My first CC rating.
