Hazy yellow pour. Head is nearly white. Thick with minimal lacing. Nose is bright with grapefruit dominating. Taste brings out a woodiness with hops abounding. Mouthfeel is crisp and clean, but a bit on the watery side. Finish iis mild.

Bottle, with Alaskanwarren in Denver. Shiny copper, white head. Fresh woodsy nose, grapefruit and a surprising peppermint brightness. Crisp, bright hop flavor, something sharp and wintery about it. Cold steel, mint. Light/medium body with a gentle touch of sweet. As much as this is a beer with a lot of flavor impact, it isn’t just a shouting match—it really has an excellent sense of poise. Remarkably good IPA.

Bottle served in a tulip. Pours slightly hazy sunlight-orange. Nearly the color of the label. Good sized white head. Mostly hops on the nose: Sweet, floral, orange, pineapple, and pine. Fresh and lively. Very nice. Grapefruit and orange flavor. Medium body. Creamy and sticky texture with soft carbonation. Spotty lacing. Bitter, lengthy finish.

Pours an apricot orange with a fluffy head that recedes slowly. Aroma is very hoppy and crisp; Grapefruit and other citrus, citric acid, and a little flora. Flavor is about the same as the aroma; The hoppiness is delicious, grapefruity, other citrus. Malts balance it out toward the end. Just a pinch of sweetness, not too much. Mouthfeel is full, medium carbonation. This is basically a slightly smaller brother to Pliny The Elder; This turned out to be exactly what I expected when I saw "Russian River" and "IPA". Very high quality IPA that’s hard to find anything wrong with. Overall, excellent.

From the tap poured a golden color with a fair amount of head. Nice tart flavor almost grapefruit with a lingering finish.

Thanks to ditmier for this one. Rating #500 for this beer. Pour is cloudy orange with medium white head. Some floaties in there too. Aroma is citrus hops, light caramel malt, some floral notes and notes of grass. Flavor starts with a very nice burst of citrus hops. Then the caramel malt kicks in and the hops turn to pine. The finish is both citrus and pine hops with a touch of bread. Very tasty stuff with a great citrus hop influence.

Bottle courtesy of Smokepot23. Boy Russian River sure does know how to make an IPA. Poured a slightly hazy orangeish golden color with about one finger of off-white head. Aroma is soft grassy hops and pine. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. The flavor is extremely balanced between sweet caramel malt and the bitter hops while still showcasing the hops. This is what I love about Russian River, their IPA’s are hoppy enough for a hop lover but so perfectly balanced. Fantastic.
